2. Size and design: the size and design of your proposed building structure can have a significant cost to your projects.
If the size of the building is big it takes more building materials to construct, if the size of the building is small it takes less materials to construct.
For the design aspect if the design is complicated that requires extra materials to the layers of design added to it.
3. Materials / material type: there are different construction materials that serve different purpose for every construction project.
prices of materials will vary greatly depending what type of structural construction you are about to embark on and don’t forget were this materials are coming from also will affect their prices before they are been sold to you.
E.g 150 lengths of 16mm rod bought from Onitsha all the way to abakaliki will be quite expensive and before selling to you in abakaliki all the transportation logistics will be added to sale to you.
4. Labour rates: labour rates most times is determined by the locations cost of living and if it’s a high cost living area expect to get high cost for your labour compared to people in the village.
Duplex is one of the most built building structures in Nigeria for living to complete a duplex will depend on some factors such as if materials will be readily available and labour fee available? If yes then a duplex construction of about 5 bedroom duplex 1 storey can take up to 3 to 4 months to see to its completion.
